MozyPRO, powered by EMC2, is an affordable backup and recovery solution for small servers, desktops, and laptops. MozyPRO provides your business with an easy-to-use, secure, data protection service. With none of the failure risks of tape-based systems, MozyPRO is a one-step, “set it and forget it” solution.
Using a small software agent on each system, MozyPRO gives you control of what information you protect and when. You pay a nominal monthly license fee and for the amount of information you backup. MozyPRO features some of the lowest per-GB storage costs in the industry.
Once configured, your backups run automatically within defined windows or anytime your system is idle. You can also set backups to run continuously for near-real-time protection.
Easy to Use
MozyPRO is easy to configure and use with familiar window layouts and helpful wizards. Defining data sets can be done by file location or using wizards that find information based on file types – avoid losing documents that were saved in the wrong place.
Restores can be triggered from the MozyPRO client, from the Windows “File” menu, or through the MozyPRO web portal.

When to Use MozyPRO
As an economy-grade service, MozyPRO is best used when more advanced backup and recovery features are not needed. Consider MozyPRO when:
- Data to be kept long-term is copied or backed up elsewhere
- MozyPRO limits data retention to 30 days
- Backup sizes are relatively small
- o MozyPRO restores in 5GB blocks; larger data sets require multiple restore operations for full recovery
